Accessibility
Access should be built in.
Lucent Architecture LLC is committed to making thisislucent.com usable by people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and access needs.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing system responsibility rather than a one-time review.
Commitment
An inclusive experience.
Lucent aims to provide website content and interactions that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust across different devices, browsers, input methods, and assistive technologies.
The site is being developed toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
This statement describes Lucent’s current objective and ongoing accessibility work. It is not a claim that every page, document, or third-party service has been independently certified as fully conformant.
Measures
How accessibility is supported.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, lists, and page structure.
- Keyboard-operable navigation and interactive controls.
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Color and interface contrast designed for readable use.
- Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and smaller screens.
- Reduced-motion behavior for visitors who prefer less animation.
- Descriptive link text and clearly labeled controls.
- Accessible labels, instructions, and error handling for forms.
- Periodic automated checks and manual review during development.
Testing
How the site is reviewed.
Lucent reviews the site using keyboard navigation, browser zoom, responsive layouts, reduced-motion preferences, automated accessibility checks, and manual inspection of content, structure, focus behavior, and interactive elements.
Known Limitations
Areas still being improved.
Some complex diagrams, visual research artifacts, and downloadable PDF materials may require additional work to provide fully equivalent text-based descriptions or optimized document navigation.
Third-party websites and platforms linked from this site are controlled by their respective providers and may not offer the same level of accessibility.
Lucent continues to review these limitations and will provide accessible alternatives when reasonably possible.
Feedback
Report a barrier.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact Lucent at hello@thisislucent.com.
When relevant, include:
- The page address or name.
- A description of the barrier.
- The browser, device, or assistive technology involved.
- The format or alternative that would help you access the information.
Response
What happens next.
Lucent will review accessibility feedback and make reasonable efforts to correct the barrier or provide the requested information in an accessible alternative format.
Review
Ongoing improvement.
Accessibility practices will continue to evolve as the site, content, diagrams, documents, and interactive features develop.
